DESIGN PROBLEM

SKYY Vodka was established in San Francisco and has been a powerful brand in the world of vodka. SKYY sells a fun and sexy lifestyle, and uses bright colors, a sleek bottle, and not much else to make an impact on consumers.

The new campaign needs to highlight the new Kiwi and Melon flavors and revitalize SKYY Citrus, while keeping the iconic SKYY bottle at the core. The bottle must have a vector-based illustration that can be scaled to the size of a billboard and shrunk to the size of a smart watch. Below is how that bottle was made.

DESIGN PROCESS

In a departure from the brand’s matte colors, the new campaign brings SKYY into the real world. Using powerful, simple, and colorful imagery, the consumer gets a strong sense of refreshment and flavor. The iconic bottle is familiar to the viewer, but the flavors are striking and new. Moving away from the hyper-sexualized campaigns of the past, this campaign stays focused on what really matters—vodka and what goes in it. In our busy lives, this campaign creates a fresh, simple, and calming moment.
