Driftwood Deli & Market makes the best sandwich you can get in Palo Alto (and perhaps the Bay Area). They treat you like family from the second you walk through the door and make you feel right at home. I’ve been filling their sandwich punch cards for nearly a decade. They have countless loyal customers like me, but no branding at all to help attract new ones. Such a high-quality sandwich needs a high-quality brand and logo to match. After sketching countless different brand and logo ideas, I found that custom hand-lettering was the best way to infuse an old-fashioned deli with the modernity associated with Silicon Valley and Palo Alto.
